Dr. Candice Coleman-Pope | Functional & Lifestyle Medicine

"Root-cause medicine is part of my spiritual calling. I believe healing should be compassionate, whole-person-centered, and grounded in practical lifestyle foundations that empower patients for lasting wellness."

I'm Dr. Candice Coleman-Pope, a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Practice and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care with advanced training in Functional and Lifestyle Medicine. I combine evidence-based lifestyle medicine, functional diagnostics, and personalized care to help patients uncover underlying causes and build sustainable healing strategies. Lauricidin® is one of the wellness tools I value as part of that root-cause approach.

My Calling to Whole-Person Care

As a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner with certification in Functional Medicine from the Institute for Functional Medicine and Diplomate status from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, I've built my work around one clear belief: true healing happens when we look beyond symptoms and care for the whole person.

Earning my doctoral degree from Florida State University with a specialization in Lifestyle Medicine deepened that mission. My clinical work brings together evidence-based lifestyle approaches, functional medicine principles, and compassionate partnership so patients feel seen, supported, and equipped with practical tools for lasting health.

Root-Cause Healing in Real Life

Grounded in the pillars of lifestyle medicine, I help patients build healing strategies around whole-food nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress resilience, avoiding harmful substances, and meaningful social connection. I pair those foundations with advanced functional medicine diagnostics to identify underlying drivers and create personalized plans that are preventive, practical, and sustainable.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, paddleboarding, being outdoors, practicing yoga and hitting up the local farmers markets. Those rhythms reflect the balance, presence, and mindful living I encourage in my care. You can learn more at The Whole NP, follow along on Instagram, or connect on Facebook.
